Item was repaired (sort off)

i bought some trousers, that I found have been previously re hemmed ! Not a major deal but I am a bit disappointed as the only time I have ever sold something that I repaired I stated where it was and that it was not noticiable.

This was not awful but not good either as it fell down today, second wearing.

should I mention it to the seller, I have not left feedback, she has. Though I would not neut or neg, it was not an expensive item.

perhaps a wee email, stating the above ....or should I just leave it. And ask all future possiblilities if it has been repaired, buttons sewn on etc !!??

I would be inclined to send the seller an email saying that you were a little disappointed that he/she hadn't mentioned that the trousers had been re-hemmed.

I'm like you. I always state in the auction listing if I have repaired an item. It's always better to be honest when selling.

Woohoo! I'm normal! Gotta go tell the cat.
  • She probably just forgot to mention it, but you could mention it to her so she'll probably be more likely to specify things like that in future listings. In a situation like that I'd probably leave positive feedback if I got a nice reply, no feedback if no reply, neutral if I got a stroppy reply.
I try to mention any repairs or alterations I'm aware of when selling on eBay, and I'd hope other sellers would usually do so too.
