Haven Hafan Y Mor

We as a family have never been to a Haven before and after taking up one of the newspaper offers we went on Monday and came home yesterday, i was a bit unsure to say the least after i saw photos of there chalets on the website but all i can say is OMG it so wasnt what i expected! Now i was expecting tired well used small bedsit type but that wasnt what we got at all and no we didnt upgrade and im so glad we didnt now- the chalet its self was what seemed to be newly refubished and it was lovely, leather sofa and chairs, curtains that id have picked for my own house (i was shocked there was no crazy 1970s pattern), i could find no spec of dust or dirt any where it was lovely and very spacious for my two children to play around in aswell, if we had have paid for an upgrade we would have been in one of the caravans which seemed smaller space wise. So for anyone worried about there basic rooms dont be.
The park on a whole is one of the best holiday parks i think we have ever stayed on, there was something to do each minute and usually im ready to come home around day 3 but this time i didnt feel as i wanted to leave and was quite sad that we were.
The entertainment was second to none and both the kids and us grown ups had a ball, no sticky carpets in sight- i may sound snobby but im sure you all know what im talking about lol. The staff were also brilliant from the funstars who work so so hard down to the cleaners and food staff, all were very polite and seemed to love there jobs. my kids both had swimming lessons with the life guards, football coaching and made full use of the fun and games provided along with the parks and play areas, the beaches are so close and the views are breathtaking, bar prices are on the high side and the fact they sell a helium balloon for £6.50 is just jawdropping as in our local town on a Saturday the most youd pay for the same is £3.
The food on site was also lovely which i have to say shocked me,the pub -the mash and barrel is a hidden gem the food was devine, we ate here a few times and the food and service was fantastic so much so i wish it was my local.
Well thankyou for listening to my little 'wow' rant and i hope it helps maybe one or two of you who are worried about your holiday there..i took so many cleaning products with me and hardly had to use them-but i was expecting the worst after a few bad experiences in the past.

The pool is great, everything is great lol...there is male, female and unisex changing so it was easy as we have two under the age of 5 and you walk through the showers into the pool, its like a small water park more than just a swimming pool there are 3 flumes a large wave slide that most people could go on not just good swimmers, there is a main area that goes from nothing to the deep end and this is where the wave machine is, then to the left there is an area with 3 small round pools which is for the small kids, and to get to each of them there are slides so they make a larger circle if that makes sense, then to the right is another deeper pool area and a bubble pool and rapids, there is a viewing balcony with tables and chairs and all around the pool side there are tables and chairs and some sun loungers, they do swimming lessons first thing at 9am so the pool is closed then for them - they are £6 each but for 0-4 years on a friday they are free, there seemed to be alot of lifeguards too and it was also very clean, i spotted the lifeguards cleaning the tables at 10am and no one had sat at them yet, i was very impressed to say the least. You need to show your passes to get in at the reception desk and it is a refundable £1 for the lockers, and they have a shop that sells all sorts of swimming items incase you have forgotten anything.:j cazian :j

The pool complex at Hafan-y-Mor is great. The flumes in particular are well worth a go, and as a bonus the view from the top of the tower is fantastic so you've got something to look at if there's a queue. The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water
And I look like a tramp and tramps like us
