Hello there,
I recently applied for a Halifax credit card with 13 months 0% i am looking at the small print and it reads
"The special promotion rates will not apply to balances we agree to transfer to this account from other cards issued by Bank of Scotland plc. These will be charged at the appropriate standard interest rate shown above..."
I phoned Card Member Services and asked if i would be able to make a balance transfer to my Lloyds account and still have the 0% the man on the phone said he wasn't 100% sure but i will more than likely be able to due to the banks being separate even though Lloyds own BOS. I was also thinking this as it mentions 'Bank of Scotland plc' and not the Lloyds Banking group.
If someone has had previous experience with these two banks any clarification would be great
Thanks!

I'm assuming it's the Halifax All-in-One card you have which also gives 0% on purchases for 15 months.
If that's the case then you might want to consider doing all your shopping on the card and using the saved cash to pay down your overdraft over the 15 months (or less). This will save the 3% balance-transfer fee but overdraft charges will continue until paid off.
Just a thought.
