Quick note Nationwide travel insurance.

Got my paper work through today for the free travel insurance after transferring over to them for flex current account.
Phoned up to do the add family and just wanted to add my 12 year old daughter and it was going to be £30.
So free it maybe to me but they are going to sting you for the added extras. Can get annual family cover for £30 on moneysupermarket!

Just got mine. I haven't bothered with travel insurance for the last 10 years or so (I have medical cover through work and my house insurance covers a lot of other risks).

I was wondering what would happen if I made a claim eg for cancellation and the kids weren't covered (my wife and I are as it's a joint account). We've booked ferry crossings and hotels, all in my name. So presumably it's "my" loss if I have to cancel, or would they say "well you booked a family room for 4 and only 2 of you are covered so we'll only pay half"??
