Valeria - are you pre-spam post building by any chance?

It might be more productive to simply report them, rather than posting responses to their spam!

Benefit of the doubt? If I got a reply it might indicate I was wrong. :D

  • Big thanks to Martin. I have just received a cheque for my part refund of my mortage exit fee from Abbey(Santander) for £126 for the mortgage I had with them between June 2004 to June 2006.
  • Hi guys,

In my old mortgage agreement with Bristol and West which i took out in Sept 2006 my MEAF (or in B & West language 'discharge administration fee') was quoted as £195 as per Martins table in this weeks tips email, however i am unsure what i actually paid when i settled in oct 2009.

I have found my old solicitors completion statement but the MEAF is not broken down and just states the amount i paid in redemption of the mortgage in total, (i sold house and paid mortgage off in full).

How can i find out what i paid? or shall i just use the letter template in this weeks tips email and state the above?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Rock on MSE!!!

  • Thank you for sharing this informative content. Keep on sharing.
  • I was looking at mortgages and came across this website. I did a search and they were able to give me a really cheap quote online. Looks good to check out rather then the usual comparison websites.

  • Mortgage exit fees, The unfair contract terms provisions in the ASIC Act are new and they will apply to mortgage exit fees alongside the unjust .... We have been in discussion with a number of research houses as well as their user groups.
