emails dissapeared

Hi folks
I use outlook express and had to reboot my pc following it freezing...it now seems that although the folders are there, the content has gone from them
I have checked my server and under the 2 email addresses i have have got 2MB and 9MB of data somewhere but nothing to be seen in any of the inboxes??
