Conditional call forwarding active ..

Hello,

Our friends and family complained that when they ring our land line, the call ends abruptly.

So this morning when I tried ringing from mobile phone, we receive this message 'Conditional call forwarding active' and the call ends.

Any idea what could be wrong?

We are able to make outgoing calls without any problem. It is only the incoming calls that we are having issues with.

You don't say who your line provider is but I pay for BT Call Diversion and I have the option of diverting all calls (that's the one I use), diverting calls I don't answer within 15 seconds or diverting calls if my line is already engaged.

    http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumer/consumerProducts/pdf/BT_Calling_Features_Userguide.pdf

If you have any of them active with the 'divert to' number a switched off mobile and the switched off mobile has (as mine has) a divert to my landline if it's out of signal area, an incoming call to your landline could enter a loop of death.

I've never heard of the announcement you mention though.

We are with BT. OH checked our line through BT online tool. apparently nothing wrong with line which indicates problem with our equipment.

We use Panasonic cordless handsets. But we did not set call forwarding or anything of that sort.:(

Nevertheless, it might be worth making 3 'calls'.

    An explanation would be good.

As shown in the link I appended in post #2.

Thanks for posting those numbers. Tried ringing but still have the same problem.

Also this morning purchased new handset from Argos and gave it a go. Still the same problem even with new handset. now need to go and return it. really running out of options now (:

BTW the error message I posted earlier is incorrect. I get that msg when I make any calls from my mobile.

So it's your mobile that has a conditional divert programmed.

On my mobile network (Giffgaff), those are cancelled with # # 002 #

    Worth a try?
