No Claims Discount Proof

Hi,
I bought a car on 17/04 and bought insurance from Aviva to start 01/05. In the time from 17/04 to 30/04 I had insurance on another car that was insured by eCar. The new car was garaged as it was not insured.
I have just had a letter from Aviva requesting the NCD proof but they state it should be in the registration of the New Car.
Is NCD proof not supposed to be in the name of the insured rather than the car reg?
Can I as a result send them the NCD proof with old car's reg and a covering letter?

Try and short circuit any issues by first ringing and explaining the situation.

Then in the unlikely event they are dead against it, you have time to cancel and go elsewhere.

Get the person's name you speak to, then include it in the covering letter you send with your proof.

Thanks, have just come off the phone with them. They say it's alright to submit the proof with the old car reg, so long as I am not using it on another policy.
