Video Sender to VGA Monitor?

Forgive me if this is a really dumb question but here goes.

I have an LCD computer monitor that I'm not using and this idea occurred to me to make some use out of it. Is there anything I can do to make it receive signals from a video sender connected to my TV/Sky box. The video sender has a SCART connection or AV cinch cable connectors but the monitor only has a VGA input.

I've seen SCART to VGA adapters but the application described for them is sending pictures from a computer to a TV.

Is there anyway this could be made to work (economically)? I have no problems getting good reception from the video sender on any TV, in any room in the house.

Many thanks.
