Barclays saying they can't see my account information when I called them

I called barclays today to get a new card and they said that there is missing information and they couldn't do it. They said that I need to verify the information at my branch and it isn't a major issue. He also asked if I closed my account and I said no. There was fraud on my account in november and I haven't used it since, but there is a standing order coming in each month from my dad. What do you think is going on?

Is my account closed? I can't get to a bank since I am ill. I have a young persons account by the way.

Really sorry if I can't follow you - what was sorted? And, casting our attention back to the previous stage, what do you think is going on?

It seems likely that the current problem has it's origins last year when you were having problems. Barclays seem to have only partially corrected the problem,. I'd go back to your previous contact at Barclays and ask them to complete the task.
