Installing a shower above the bath

Hello! I'm looking to install a thermostatic mixer shower above the bath. It's already fully tiled, so should be a straight install. The boiler is in the cupboard next door to the bathroom (upstairs).
I am looking to get a fairly decent shower (I have a Megoflo boiler, the pressure sits between 1 and 2 bar), but trying to spend as little as possible.
How much should I expect to pay for installation if I source the shower myself?
Any recommendations for the shower itself also very welcome!!
Many thanks in advance

i use a mira 415 combiforce mixer.
retail about 211 quid. got mine off ebay for 50 quid.
if your system is vented, you can use almost any mixer.
sealed pressure systems (like mine) require special newer types.
(i had to change my old mira mixer when the combi was fitted)
reckon on a days labour for the fitting, say 200 quid max?Get some gorm.0 -
Thanks ormus - that's really helpful!

I'll try ebay for the shower and now know what ballpark to aim for when negotiating on install price.
Many thanks:DIf it was easy, everyone would do it!0
