In Dec last year i joined pointshop.co.uk. 5 months later i have been charged £45.00 from my bank. i haven't even been on website since 31st jan, and it wouldn't let me delete my account. My bank has said that they can't even make a dispute against them. i have emailed pointshop.co.uk and they wont reply. i really don't know know what to do.
can anyone give me any advice.
sorry if this is in wrong place.

Exactly the same has happened to me - I bought a Braun Electric Toothbrush from them for £1 back in April this year. I have never received the toothbrush and they have taken £45 from my bank account. I have asked MSE (via email) to look into this business for us all.
I managed to contact them via email (took about 1 hour) of searching to find out how - and they have emailed me back basically telling me "tough" they have done nothing wrong !!!!
They are SO WRONG and pray on innocent people. If you need further info on how to get to the email bit - I will try to work out how I got there and let you know xx0 -
I think with t&cs written like this, your chances of getting anything back are slim.
"8. Responsebilety
8.1 Limitation of responsebilety
PointShop does not take responsibility for more than what PointShop is required to by the Danish law."
It's one of the shoddiest sites I've seen in a while.0 -
Please I have had over three hundred pound out of my account with no knowledge about this company.. for nothing in return may i add. I tell you what I work bloody hard for my money and I have been fighting for this money back... I have been to the citizens advice, bank itself(spoke to two different managers), went to the police, wrote several emails and made over a dozen calls. Was told today "you know what's holding you back?" I'm apparently the only person who have made an official complaint, please instead of bumping your gums on sites like these make the complaint!! I'm gobsmacked especially after researcing this company and seeing so many bad comments towards them! If someone did before now we could have had this con-site shut down and saved hundreds of people an upsetting ordeal.. I'm going to try my hardest so that this won't happen to anyone else... please if your in the same boat do the same!!

Seems like a lot of hassle when all you have to do is contact your bank and report it as an unauthorised transaction. Bank then refunds the transaction and, in my experiences, sends you a form to complete, sign and return. That's it.
Unless, of course, there's something you've forgotten to tell us. :rotfl:0 -

Sadly with this company as its in their T/C. They will simply reject any chargback. Unless the agreement has been cancelled. In which case any payments after this date can be chargeback.
Or now as per PSD (payent services directive) once you have told your bank. Any further debits can also be returned as a cancelled CPA.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

You're assuming XxLeeannexX entered an agreement with pointshop.co.uk, however they wrote "Please I have had over three hundred pound out of my account with no knowledge about this company," which strongly suggests they didn't.
However, I think we all have a pretty good idea of what really happened. Hence my final comment. :rotfl:0 -
They are a bunch of rip-off merchants. How they sleep at night is beyond me.
All I can say is DO NOT TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE! I am, as you may have guessed absolutely livid!Helen0
