Best Time to Book New Zealand

Can someone qualified please tell me whether it is best to book in advance or wait for last minute deals. We are planning to fly to New Zealand in January which is 8 months ahead. Should we book now or will flights get cheaper? I am worried they may be unavailable if we wait too long but dont want to lay out the full fare so far in advance.

Many thanks

Thanks for that, you confirmed what I was feeling anyway. Will go and spend my hard earned money then.

I agree if you see a good price, book it now. Chances of you getting some amazing low price nearer the time are slim to none.

I would book it now cos the prices are going to be around the same if not dearer the time you leave. I've just came back from working & travelling in NZ it's a fabulous country. It cost me £1,100 on the way back but that included multi-city stops in Miami & NY. Are you going to Australia as well?

We're going in November but we can't buy our tickets until August. We're toying with business class too. Can I ask how much your flights were, Orlando?

We are there at the moment, had a look at bringing our return forward, we paid £1900 for two returns 5 months ago with Air NZ, the return tickets are now 360NZ$ more plus the admin fee. So book early is my advice, plus you get more choice of seats.
