Only if your current account has travel insurance, Travelodge haven't failed to uphold their part of the bargain so there is nothing to claim back.0 -
Not sure about the travelodge changing your date, have you looked at the terms and conditions of the insurnace, it covers very little but you may be lucky.
No, you wont be able to claim it back from your debit card, your bank is not laible.
Is there anyway you could ring and change your hospital appointment, worth a try. Give them a ring and see what they say.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

now you actually have the appt as opposed to waiting for it tele the hospital call centre explain the situation and they may be able to change the appt for you, from experience you shouldnt have to wait more than 4 weeks0

If you do have travel insurance it will almost certainly be excluded as it is a pre-existing condition that has caused you not to be able to travel unless you have declared the condition and the insurer has confirmed cover for it.0

As above, normally existing risks (like an outstading hospital appointment) are not covered by any insurance).
If you got the rooms cheap you might be able to sell the on (ebay?) so you don't make a loss (although check Travelodge are ok with change of names).
I don't think you can expect to retain deal/sale prices if you amend.0 -
thanks everyone for posts travelodge have agreed to issue me with an e voucher to use within 6 months minus £5 for admin so kind of satisfied with result but still gutted bout missing holiday for that date xx0
