Travel insurance that covers internal travel abroad

Hi there, I am going on a trip to the US/Canada for around ten weeks this summer and am trying to find an annual policy that will i) have a high enough daily trip limit, ii) ideally that offers a 'disruption' addition for natural disaster/volcano-related things etc and iii) that provides cover for missed departures etc for my travel plans whilst I am away. I have found severla policies that tick the first two boxes (albeit not necessarily at the same time!) however almost every policy I look at only coveres missed departures etc for your initial outbound and final inbound sector. I have several internal flights booked during my trip and two cruise segments, none of which i believe would be covered for missed departures or disruption as they aren't the two "ends" of the trip. Does anyone happen to know of an insurer that covers the 'in between' travel and not just the first and last sections?
Eternally grateful for any pointers!
Many thanks,
Sandy

I am not sure if there is such a policy available - the reason is that the travel insurer knows there will be two trips (there and back again) and can calculate estimated likelihood of costs - but they have no idea how many flights you might take abroad and the reliability (or otherwise) of local airlines.
As these can't be quantified then they can't be insured under a UK policy.0 -

OP, I don't think you will find an annual policy that would cover up to 70 days and does what you need.
I don't know of a policy that suits but I would start with a backpacker type insurer and talk to them.0
