Hi
I am a complete techno no no but would like some help. I have a hi8 Sony video camera which i have used a few times and would like to download the videos onto my computer. How simply can i conevert hi8 to digital. I did read somthing about imovie but have no idea?

Very basically...I connected a Sony to the PC with Firewire (or iLink) and pressed Play, left it to run and captured the movie with Windows MovieMaker as a .wmv file, then did some very simple editing.
There's better software out there, but this was really easy.0
