Sky remote code for unbranded Dreams TV

Hi all

We got a tv bed from Dreams recently, it was at the cheaper end of the tv bed market and as such it comes with an unbranded 26" tv.

The TV is good and works well, but I have tried numerous sky remote codes to try and programme my sky remote to it, but to no avail.

I have rang Dreams and they cant tell me who made the TV, although all their higher price range beds are supplied with LG tv's so they suggested trying codes for an LG tv, again no joy.

Is there anything else I can try?

I have done a lot of googling and cant find any that seem to work.

I have resigned myself to using both controls, but thought I would try on here before I give up.

Thanks all.

Just wanted to add, on the back of the TV there is nothing other than a model number and nothing on the remote, nothing in the menu.

When it was available from Dreams it only said the model number too, no make.

Would a universal remote work or as it is unbranded just be a waste of money?

I have the option of changing the tv in the future obviously but just wondering if there is anyway of finding it for this one?

There seems to be a reverse procedure - see bottom here http://sky.xorro.co.uk/sky-remote-codes.html

Your Tv sounds like its unsupported unless you can find who the orignal manufacturer is to use a generic code.

Yep, tried so many my finger tips are sore! :-)

Shame there is no manufacturer name anywhere on it externally.

Oh well, was worth a shot. Just have to use two remotes when upstairs.

Bed may end up getting replaced anyway as when it arrived 2 weeks ago it had a scuff mark on the faux leather, did a little bit of light dusting today and it just flakes away, now got a massive grey patch where the faux leather once was.

Dreams are sending someone round to inspect it.

You will need to upload the picture to tinypic, or photobucket and link it into here.

As for the codes - It may just be good to work through the most popular ones such as Bush/Alba/LG/Toshiba/Hitatchi/Samsung/Sony etc.

Once you have a method going, its prob 3-4 secs per code. :)
