No Signal To Monitor

I am having trouble with a Packard Bell Istart 1360
Apparently the trouble started when it was unable to load XP but when I got it the power supply has gone. I have now fitted a new PSU but have no signal to the monitor. The motherboard light comes on,the fan works as does the DVD drive and USB ports are working.
I have checked and replaced the RAM so that's not the problem. I have also changed the CMOS battery and that has made no difference. The monitor is working and the hard drive is ok because I have tested both with other machines.
Could it be the processor or have I missed something more obvious?

Graphic card?
Plugged in and not been shocked when PSU went?
Loose cable connection monitor to pc?0 -
If the PSU had failed then the MB could have also been damaged. The graphics appear to be onboard, so try a plug in graphics card instead.0

Check the cable is plugged in properly at both ends
Try a different cable
Test monitor works on a different PC
Test with a different monitor
Check monitor refresh rate matches the graphic cardHow do I add a signature?0 -
Thanks for the replies.
I have tried most of the suggestions and by process of elimination it would appear to be mb damage or onboard graphics problem.
I do not have a compatible graphic card to fit but I will try and get one.0 -
I have just fitted a graphic card and that didn't work so it must be motherboard damage.0
