Girobank, then A and L now Santander Flexiplan Premiercard

I opened a Flexiplan account which is linked to my Current Account. This was originally with National Girobank so it has been running. for many years. With this account you can transfer, anything up to your limit, to your current account and I have a dd into my Flexiplan of a set amount each month. ie mine is £3000, £100 is transferred automatically, if the account goes in credit I just transfer it back again. They also charge interest on any amount owing at the end of each month.
I have for all these years paid £9.30 per month for Premiercare Insurance and another Product Protection Insurance that works if you can prove you moved money from Flexiplan to pay for an item. (the underwriters for this part went into liquidation around 1998 so I am assuming my payments are just on the Flexiplan amounts) I'm trying to find out whether I might be able to claim back the Premiercare Insurance which I understood I had to have and if so who from ie the bank or the insurance company.
Any help would be appreciated.

I sent a SAR to Santander clearly giving previous address and the fact that it was Girobank and then A&L but all the same account numbers for past 25 years - they sent me 6 years records as that is all they have.
Would like to know where to go from here as I stopped my flexiplan protection wjhen i realised it was not worth the paper written on especially as i was mostly in credit.
I therefore need records going back to 1990's - so 6 years are useless.
Anyone know where I go from here?0 -
Opps - sorry meant to say as you are still paying - you have proof, they will have to work back as to how long and how much. Please let me know how you get on.0
