    Glen Vet Clinic,at the back of the Flagship Center.I use it for Miss Daisy & it's also used by the ASSISI Animal Sanctuary in Conlig.

    Costs are comparable with other vets although the service is better.Steer clear of Rathgeal Vet Clinic tho.They are expansive & miss diagnosed my old cat Orbit,saying it he was over weight when it was in fact renal failure,he was retaining fluid on his body that they took as weight gain.

    Yes, Linda Glenn behind the Flagship is good.

    I use Cedarmount on the Bryansburn Road. I find them to be excellent.

    Vets for Pets on the Belfast Road, and cheap for vaccinations, etc., but I'd rather go to a larger practice if my dog was ill.

    My aunt has always used them too.

    Thanks for the info..

    The puppy i have just got is 8 weeks old and has had whatever vacc needed up to 8 weeks old but i know at 8 weeks & 12 weeks more are needed, does anyone know the cost of these or if there is a package of some kind?

    Anyone that has a dog do you know if its common for a little pup that age to be scratching itself behind the ear a few times a day?

    I'm off over the ASSISI in a bit to pick up the van,I'll ask in the dog section & get back to you.

    EDIT;

    I asked the girls in the dog section & they say it could be fleas or even an allergy,possibly to his food.The also recommend not to feed Bakers Complete as it's full of addatives,colours ect & has little nutritional value.

    I'm sure all vets are good, but if you are looking to save money? Try a Vet called Clare. It's down past where the Ballycopeland windmill is on the right. She has a farm there and also is a Vet. Times i think are 09-00 to 10-00, and 17-00 to 19-00. My cat comes out in a itchey rash at times, just needs a steroid injection. Cost me £24 there. Other Vet charged me about £46. ph, 91862777. Check for opening times, you turn up and it's 1st come 1st served.

    If you suspect that the puppy may have fleas, then you really need to get him to a vet ASAP and have him properly checked over. If he as come to you with fleas then hos overall health would be of great concern to me...he may not have been adequaltey wormed either and a heavy worm burden could kill a small pup.

    Also, I already explained to you about vaccinations. It is better NOT to get a pup that has had the first vaccination already. The best thing to do is call around the vets and find one that uses the same brand that the breeder already used for the first injection. If you use a vet that favours a different brand, they will have to restart the course from scratch and repeat the first vaccination again. It is not a good idea to overload such a young pup with vaccine doses. You can change vets again afterwards if necessary.
