For the past week and a half my wee moggies 'deposits' have become very soft and mushy (sorry for description!) and as much as I was happy using very reasonably priced wood pellets, it means I've having to clean the full litter tray out daily as it just gets everwhere (especially the scoop, yuch!). Before this I usually just took out his dry poos and changed the full tray every third day.

Anyway I've decided that maybe clumping litter is the way to go. I'm hoping it can absorb said mush into a removable ball?

I know its a bit more expensive but can any of you point me to the cheapest one selling Golden Grey Master online? Or a site that's doing a deal? Much much appreciated.

Does it absorb cats loose bowel movements?

Yes it should, i have used this litter for ages now for my 2 and it's great. Wees go into a lump and can be scooped out easily, not had much experience with the old diarrhoea but I guess it will work in a similar way to wee.

might be a good idea to investigate changes in `movements' too - no litter can really cure that, eg worming or some other cause?

Glad to report his stools are now back to normal. He must've been passing soft mushy stools for about a week. One good thing to come out of this is me changing from wood pellet litter to clumping - it is far better, more manageable.

It's quite expensive though eh? I saw it in my local 'pets at home' store but ended up opting for PAH own brand ultra clumping as it was a fair bit cheaper - and I think it's doing a good job. But then compare to wood pellets it would, wouldn't it! :)

I switched from clumping to wood to cover smells occuring from increased wet feeding equalling more litter used/wet - it's important that the litter hasn't `set hard' and thus prevent moggies from using it.

from what did you switch though?

not from golden grey master I assume...so no comparison really

I wish I could affor golden grey master, used it for ages, fantastic clumping, even runny poo clumped (as much as it could) , no smell, minimum traking

but was costing me up to 40 per month for my 4 cats

so switched to oko plus which lots pf people recommend and it is not bad but nowhere near as good at clumping as golden grey was and oko tracks a lot more... BUT my litter bill has gone down by more then half

i have started using Golden Grey Master cat litter for my 3 kittens. Some people have said it is expensive but 1 bag lasted me 29 days and i think it is great stuff. No smell or tracking on their paws and even their paws smell good lol. Cleaning is no problem as there is no smell when taking the lumps out. I will probably carry on using this and see how they get on when they have developed into adult cats.
