car clamped in an University car park... help needed

I really need some advice if anyone can help me.
My daughter got clamped in the university carpark.. She's been a student there for the past year and was told by one of the lecturers when she started to park in this particular carpark and there's no need to pay as its owned by the Uni that she attends.
Yesterday when she got to her car to come home, she'd been clamped..
The assistant came to her and told her that the council has taken over the carpark last week... Obviously she just broke down and cried.. She had to pay £90 cash to release the clamps and if she paid via card it would be £95... Who in the right mind carries £90 cash in their pockets today???!!!!!!!
Anyway, my husband phoned the council today and was told that they dont run that particular carpark!!!
Can anyone advise me, is it worth writing to the firm? or threaten courts??
Any advice is welcome....
Thank you all xx

Find-out who does run the carpark. Ask the University's facilities manager.
Once she has confirmation, she can write to claim back her money and even use MCO to start a SCC case if needed.Never Knowingly Understood.

You will need to send an NBA to the clampers and the uni
You will then need to sue the Clampers and the uni...Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

NBA = Notice before Action. A warning letter giving someone the chance to pay before you sue them.0
