First hassles with buying..any advice?

Hi,
Been buying successfully for a few months with no hassles. I have recently won some warhammer stuff for the nipper and paid via paypal on 17 March. Not received anything at all, have emailed the seller about 10 times and not received one email back. The item is for around £8 including postage. Any advice apart from find where the b***** lives and tear his head off?
Ta,

Assuming you paid on the evening of the 17th March that is only 5 working days gone and some sellers are very slow in shipping. Some sellers even wait for the paypal payment to be withdrawn from their paypal account to their bank account before shipping and that can take 6 or 7 working days in some cases. It isn't a good way of selling, but it does happen.
However, the lack of response to your emails is a bit worrying, I would have expected some sort of response if only a 'stop emailing me so often' response. You have a couple of choices now, firstly call up his contact details and give him a call, or secondly, just start the paypal chargeback procedure.
What is the sellers feedback like? If he still has active listings it might just be a case of he posts out only once a week or something and the post has been delayed.
Remember now though that there isn't any post until Tuesday.

I would wait until at least Wednesday/Thursday! you could pull his/her details and see if he has a phone number to call! I would stop sending emails as he would have received the ones you have sent and know you are waiting ...if no contact by wed/Thurs then start Chargeback on Paypal and report to ebay!
Hope it goes ok!

Cheers for this...
Will hang on until after the Easter break. He has a fairly good profile - but hasn't sold anything since end of January and hasn't got anything for sale at the moment. Not sure where to get contact details like phone number - is it tucked away in the members profile somewhere?
If I do a chargeback, do I get the full amount back - I noticed that the customer protection service has a cost of £15 which stuffs me!
Cheers,

You can go there in advanced search, I pulled this from the help:
eBay urges buyers and sellers to use both email and the telephone to contact one another to resolve any issues that may arise. You can get the phone number for your trading partner by going to Find Contact Information under Advanced Search. Most issues can be resolved through direct communication between buyers and sellers.

Angel has already answered the contact info bit but I just wanted to add that the chargeback is done via paypal not via ebay. The ebay system costs, but paypal is free and the onus is on the seller to prove delivery (not posting). You have 45 days from the date of payment in which to start the chargeback procedure. Look under 'resolution centre' in your paypal account.

I have bought 4 items on E-bay, but every time I wonder if stuff will actually turn up or whether some guy is laughing with my money in his hands. I have sold a few items and have sent them the day after or on the day the auction. I guess thats how I want to be treated and would expect the same in return. I like E-bay, but I still feel very nervous using it.Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0

Aha!
Got an email this morning saying sorry for the delay..computer hassles...being posted today and should get it within 2 days. Now do I neg him or not! He already has 4 neutrals in the last 8 feedback so I will probably stick with that. It was supposed to be for Easter as well!
Never mind, if I get the thing I will be happy so cheers for the advice folks.0
