Looking for some advice. I sent a letter last week about the charges I had recieved from barcays partner finance, totaling over £1700. They have already answered offering to clear and close the account wich is £444 and also a good will payment of £350. Should I accept it?

I recently went after BPF for their unbelievable charges that were applied to a loan for store credit. Basically they had charged me £22.50 twice a month for late payments. After a few letters back and forth they removed 50% of these charges. A quick letter to the FOS with copies of everything that had gone to them and BPF came back and refunded the lot as didn't want an investigation. If you feel you are owed then dont accept their first offer. Took a good 3-4 months from start to finishWage Day Advance, Quick Quid, Pounds to Pocket and Pounds Till Payday....i'm after you0

If the charges are in your credit agreement, you'd basically stand no chance of going to court, but it costs companies about £500 to do this, so they're likely to refund some to close the complaint. If they call it a 'GOGW' you haven't got much chance of them agreeing to any more....0

this is not about charges but is about bpf 3years ago we were conned into a timeshare we tried to cancel the very next day but were told the contract could not be cancelled as it was signed in cyprus and was covered by cypriot law which did not have any cooling off period this same as everything else was a lie as bpf were providing the finance we wrote to them approx 30 times with no reply the only time they contacted us was when the payment were due 3 years later they have still not got a penny now however they have sold the debt to another company is this legal as we originally signed an agreement with bpf0
