Hello I apologise if this has been asked before but in an attempt to reduce what goes into landfill I now have a sack full of tetra pak and wondered if I could burn them in my garden in a brazier without releasing owt nasty into the air. I cant recycle them nearby. I dont suppose anybody knows do they????? Much obliged

I wouldn't know about the chenicals that could be released through burning, but before you resort to this, have you checked out this way of recyling them???Honorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. Hello Yes I do know about posting them but on the Friends of the Earth forum it states that there are problems with the recycling plant and we cant send them there anymore, hence my large bag full. Thanks though.0

If they are plasticised then it would release harmful chemicals into the air.
Could you cut them up and use them as packing material,or use the bottoms to plant seedlings in, reuse them if you can't recycle them,or give them to the local nursery for craft purposes?Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
