uk holiday/centre parcs

Hi, I was looking for a centre parcs type holiday, but hopefully not as expensive, unless anyone has any discount or offers for cp? Basically a holiday park with a fun swimming pool, water park type thing with lots of stuff for kids to do

Thanks

  • Check out the Hoseasons website - they have lots of parks throughout the UK. Some of the parks are better than others as they aren't actually owned by Hoseasons but as long as you research reviews beforehand you should be ok, we've booked through them about 5-6 times now and never been let down so far and are looking to book again for July.

How old are your children? If you're not fussed about taking them out of school during term time you CAN get a cheaper Center Parcs holiday. They tend to be cheaper in September & January. I love going in January cos after Christmas & New year festivities many tend to be e bit flat in spirit but then I have a CP break to look forward too! x

Most of the parks we have visited have been the more adult orientated ones or we didn't really investigate the pools as we've only got an 18 month old. Out of the sites we visited our three favourites are:-

Brynteg, North Wales - Were only here a few weeks ago and loved it, the pool had no water slides etc but there was a toddler pool with a fountain thing, great outdoor play area and lots of other activities to do (archery etc) but they only seem to run in the school holidays so we've no experience of these.

Talacre Beach, North Wales - Few years since we went here but the accommodation was good and it wasn't far down to the beach.

Ribby Hall Village, Blackpool - About 6-7 years since we went here so things may have changed and we didn't explore the pools. From looking on the Hoseasons site it looks like they have a pool with slides and an adults only pool.

Re - Hafan Y Mor, we booked a cheap deal there about 6 years ago in on of their chalets and only stayed one night. The chalet smelled awful, there were big holes in the walls and in the sofa coverings and we were kept awake by teenagers/drunk adults screaming and shouting till the early hours. Since then we've always checked reviews before booking which if we'd done for Hafan Y Mor we'd have never booked. It really is true that you get what you pay for.

8,6 and 18 months. Their school is very good about term time holidays as long as their sick record is good, and so far it's 100% so shouldn't be a problem.

I'll have a look at those dates - thanks :D

Not sure where you are but Devon has this, I found it as i have just got a motorhome but they also do accomadation. It is a group of 4 parks all in one area and you can use all the facilities of each one, also close to the beach. More stuff for kids to do than you could wave a stick at.

Not been yet, so cant review it myself.
