2p off Fuel from tomorrow - pay no more than 136.7p Petrol/ 141.7p Diesel @ ASDA
From tomorrow (Friday 4th May) you will pay no more than 136.7p per litre for unleaded and 141.7p per litre for diesel at Asda.

We’re leading the way in passing on the savings from a drop in global oil prices. It’s our second price drop on fuel in three weeks and should be good news for hard-pressed motorists throughout the UK.
Unlike other retailers we do everything we can to reduce prices for all of our customers wherever you live.
Research taken from PetrolPrices.com shows that some retailers are getting away with charging up to 147.9p per litre for unleaded and 151.9p per litre for diesel in towns without an Asda nearby.

TESCO are dropping their prices by 2p as welllife is like a loo roll. the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes.0
-
Strange thing is that my local Esso has already dropped the price by more than 2p - it was £1.419 today compared to Asda £1.439 (diesel) they have had the price down for nearly a week now. (They used to be 2p/l dearer than Asda)Registered Linux user #497422 :beer:0

For how long? From tomorrow (Friday 4th May) you will pay no more than 136.7p
1 day?
1 week?
1 year?
It's just another con like last November when they said it would be no more than 128.7p0 -
Filled up at morissons this morning and its 2ppl off too.0

Well gven that the nearest ASDA is the best part of 20 miles away and that a local garage is only 0.2p more expensive I don't think I will be taking advantage.0
-
My local Shell always price match Asda so I'll wait until they drop it today/tomorrow before filling up.0

Our closest ASDA is 13 miles away and is consistently cheaper than our local stations (5-6p) or in their own vicinity (2-3p). Always fill up there if I am passing.
Surprised the drop took so long it has been on the cards for at least three weeks.
Who knows even the Coop might drop Diesel from their 148.9;)"If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

The price of Brent crude has dropped from $126 to $115 a barrel in the last few weeks but it always takes time for the drop to affect the price at the pump."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Which is normal, and given the whole thing with futures trading, quite reasonable.
The real con is they shove the prices up as soon as the oil prices raise, because an oil price raise is often big news0
