Hi guys
If I use my debit card for a PIN authorised transaction (to buy, for example, petrol), how long should it be before the account balance displayed at an ATM will be up to date?
Cheers,
Gaz

There are many variables which means the answer is "how long is a piece of string".
Normally, you'd be fairly safe the next working day but if the transaction was done off line it could be days (or weeks) before it actually goes through.0 -
From my experience "Account balance" won't change for a few days, "amount available" will change by 1p or the full amount of the transaction immediately, depending on the system.0
