                    Hello,
I'm off to orlando in June and the Mrs has decided she wants to go to Disney so we've brought the ultimate ticket and will be going. I've already been to universail there hwoever will be going again. Although with the Disney tickets and the shear size of the place I am looking to plan the days so that i see everything i would be interested in and miss out the kids stuff. I'm not too interested in seeingt he parade of Mickey etc.
Has anyone got any recomendations for what to do while out and/or experiences they'd like to share with us so we can do loads of fun things whilst there.

Have you actually researched this yourself? There is plenty to see and do besides visit theme parks!0

We go with the kids so don't tend to do adult things but then your in Disney and you don't need to be an adult:D
Have a meal at the California Grill and watch the fireworks from the balcony - it is expensive but lovely, they pipe the music in. (you don't need your ticket to do this as it's in the Contemporary Hotel (the one the mono rail goes through)
Drink and eat yourself around the World Showcase in Epcot (check to see if the wine & food festival is on).
You can hire boats in Downtown Disney to go, err boating.
I have loads and loads of info - I'm a walking encyclopedia of all things Disney.
Where are you staying? Remember you'll need to pay $14 each day to park at Disney if you're not staying on-site. Some days we just park at Downtown Disney and hop on the boat or bus to one of the resort and then a bus to the park - quite longwinded but we were there for three weeks at Xmas and the $14 do mount up.
Go onto the disney website and order a planner.
The Boardwalk is lovely to wander round and they have some night life at Jellyrolls. (again you'll not need a ticket to do this but it is walkable from the rear of Epcot so you can nip through that way).
I'm soooooooooo jealous:rotfl:The shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.:TBig thanks to all competition posters:T0

Although I agree that Florida has lots to offer other than the Theme Parks - the OP has already purchased the ticket. The shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.:TBig thanks to all competition posters:T0

Ah, ok then - my bad! I thought the OP was looking for suggestions outside of Disney! Perhaps they need to start planning the visit after next and see all the other lovely things that Florida has to offer!0

The title was "Disney and Florida" so it seems the OP was looking for other stuff as well. However much you like theme parks not many people can tolerate an entire holiday at them, not even my kids:)OnceUponADream wrote: »Although I agree that Florida has lots to offer other than the Theme Parks - the OP has already purchased the ticket.
My suggestions would be the Kennedy space centre, the Everglades, Miami South Beach, the Keys (good snorkelling off key Largo, Key West is crazy - a constant party!)0

Yes, of course I have. I thought I'd ask the community of helpful people, like yourself, what their experience were.
Maybe you could share with me some of the things to do that don't involve theme parks in Disney Land?If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0

I see little point in rattling off my own list of recommendations since you may well already be fully aware of them but this should keep you busy for a while:
