Enforceable signage?

Here's another view showing the same thing. It is caused by the tiling of the photos! Either that or the residents have been out and repainted the lines

You may be right, as for the Google camera, they do not take it up dead ends, it is only shot from the main roads hence why you cannot see any further into the road, but as I have said, I am not interested in the lines, only the road beyond them.

I would not dream of parking on the DL's.
To clarify my point re the parking, I am having to travel to Chorley hospital twice a week at around midday and will park in the lay by about half a mile away from the hospital, however on Thursday the lay by was full and I parked round the corner in Badgers Way, that seems similar to Strawberry Fields but without the residents parking signage, it was only on walking back down from the hospital that I noticed Strawberry Fields and the signage, hence the query here,(after I spoke to LCC Highways), I am driving a medium sized mini bus and as the parking is at a premium in the hospital plus the size of the vehicle,(and yes the parking charges), I will find elsewhere to park. Strawberry Fields will be a last resort and the vehicle will only be there for around 30 minutes.
It seems pretty clear that on your regular visits to the hospital (and before arrival) you have already decided that you will not be parking on site.
Whilst parking may well be 'at a premium' at the hospital, you do not actually appear to determine whether/or not spaces are available on any given visit.
Consequently, it is reasonable to conclude that your primary motivation is to avoid the parking charges.
Now I hasten to add that I have absolutely no ctiticism or problem with your reasons & decision for not wanting to park at the hospital site.
However, what I do seriously question is why you then regard it to be perfectly acceptable to even consider parking on a 'residents only' private road, albeit quoting 'a last resort & for around 30 minutes' as seemingly justifiable reasons for your proposed conduct.
Given the circumstances, are these really legitimate enough reasons to ride rough-shod over the rights of others, & what exactly do you mean by 'last resort' anyway?0
