just a stupid question: do you have to have a least 1 child to be eligible to use the railcard discount? Ie: if its just 2 adults, can i still use the railcard and get discount?

As far as i know, you have to have a child which is why i always buy a network card instead. If you have a baby, you can buy them a ticket to get the discount for yourself HTH :)

no - you need a child with you - but up to 4 adults can travel cheaply with one child

Although I have children and will defo get the free one to go a few trips in summer I also need to do a few trips solo so if I buy a card think I'd need a network one. Do they ever do trial freebie ones of these or deals on the price of the card? Thanks

HTH we did this last year and our son was under 5 but it was cheaper to buy him a ticket when we travelled than just paying for the two of us adults x He is 4 now and we will do the same this year x x
