Any ideas for this(May) bank holiday weekend

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post in Moneysavingexpert.Me and my husband wanna spend some relaxing time during bank holiday weekend.
Could anyone suggest some nice ideas around UK.We are ready to travel in UK.Not sure about the weather around the holiday time. But any suggestions would help us out.
Any place where we can forget our busy office/house tensions and relax.

Hope some nice ideas would come through.

Many Thanks
KSRA

The Llandudno victorian extravaganza? If you're into that sort of thing, its on all weekend. I'm going :)

Yes, I'll second the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza - I'm going too!! Also, on this weekend at Llandudno is the transport festival.

The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza was thrown into doubt a while back when the main organiser had to pull out due to work commitments. However the word is it will be as big and bad as ever. There were fairground rides already lining up on the outskirts of town last night ready for the town centre being closed off to traffic at noon tomorrow.

A couple of other suggestions. Bodafon Farm Park (which is right next to the Transport Festival site) currently have free admission. They have a big BBQ pit in their courtyard and will be throwing steaks on the barbie over the weekend. I've also been told they'll have live music as well.

On Monday the Colwyn Bay Prom Day is taking place about three miles down the coast from Llandudno. This is basically a smaller scale version of the Llandudno Extravaganza, i.e. stalls, fairground rides, etc. This year's Prom Day will feature a special appearance by X-Factor loser Kitty Brucknell. Woohoo.
