Hi
I had my IMA yesterday in relation to my BB application. The assessor said he would be taking some basic details from me before I saw the pysio therapist.
We went through my disability, he asked me to stand up with my back to him, asked me how far I could walk before it became difficult (30m in 2-3 mins), then asked me to again walk around the hall until it became difficult, he asked how long could I stand up for which I told him 3 -5 mins. I gave him copies of all my hospital appointment letters, etc.
He then said I could go and I would get their decision in 10 working days. My question is why didn't I see the PT? Is it because I'm a straight out no so no need to go any further. I was so surprised when he said I could go I didn't ask (stupid me).
Has anyone had this assessment, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I had one with Leeds City Council earlier this year (January) and just prior to receiving my DLA decision (HRM, HRC). The lady I saw asked me a lot of questions on getting around and whatnot. She then said "We're going to walk out of the office and down the corridor and back". I only got as far as the office door when she saw the pain I was in walking on my crutches (I'm a whole right leg amputee). I was also told that I would get the decision in 10 days time. I got an email later that day saying I had qualified and the blue badge a couple of days later.0
