HP Tradeup and cashback offers back on

2 offers from HP at the moment. They've put their cashback offers back on, various models across the range from £75 on cheaper ones up to £150 on the more expensive ones
If you pick a model that is also on the list at:
https://tradeuptohp.com/
You can combine the offers and trade you old <6 years old PC/laptop in meaning you could claim up to £250 back from HP.
For example entry level i3 laptop (only 2GB RAM but that's easily upgraded, just bear with me as an example)
http://www.misco.co.uk/Product/Q519864/HP-630-Intel-Core-i3-380M-15-6inch-2GB-320GB-Windows-7-Pro-Laptop-Notebook-PC?affiliate=BB03052012MUK&cm_mmc=Lyris-_-BB-_-BB03052012MUK-_-Q519864
£419.99 inc VAT
-£75 Cashback
-£100 Trade in (£100 trade in when you buy an i3 based pc)
£244.99 Total you've effectively paid for the laptop.
This is is the amount you will have effectively paid for the laptop - you WILL have to pay the full amount up front, you WILL need to have an old machine you want to get shot of (and that works!).
You can DEFINITELY combine the offers no problem.
You DEFINITELY do NOT need to be a business.
It does take a little time to get the money but it does happen, some people previously had an issue with the trade in but generally as long as you're honest with them it's not an issue.
You can buy the laptop from anywhere as long as you get a proper receipt/invoice
All for not much more than the cost of refurb/second hand ones with a lower spec!!

Aren't they the least reliable large OEM?
They are giving away that stuff for a reason.
The laptop to which you have linked is just old and overpriced in the first place and none of the TradeUp links actually work.
Have you actually tried them??0 -
Not only that, but I can't seem to see that the laptop to which you have linked, is actually included in the CASHBACK scheme.
Here is a list of which are included:
HP 630 A1E13EA
HP 630 A1E17EA
HP 630 A1F77ES
HP 630 A1F78ES
HP 630 A6F38EA
HP 630 B0W60ES
The laptop to which you have linked(A6E79EA) is conspicuous by it's absence.
Perhaps you should check these deals before posting, as people could end up with old and overpriced equipment.0 -
It does qualify for the TradeIn(not the CashBack), bringing the price down to £319.99. Not really that attractive, especially when you have to give them your working machine in return.
Some caveats even with this:
Valuations may be subject to the following deductions for damage:
Battery worn out / failed Minus £30
Cracked / damaged casing Minus £25
Dead Motherboard Minus £50
Missing 1 or more keys from keyboard Minus £15
Missing Power Supply Minus £20
Permanent marking (etched / asset tag) Minus £20
Power on password locked Minus £30
So, even the £319.99 price is at serious risk.
You really have to do your homework to avoid the pitfalls with this deal.0 -
Great deal. Thanks for posting. HP is a good proffesional choice for a PC and good value for money as it is.
I recommend to TakeThis to buy Dell or Mac. For everyone else, buy HP.0 -

Perhaps you can help by pointing out a few qualifying machines that are a good deal.
Thanks.
It might be worth mentioning that these 'offers' are not "back on", but residuals of the original promotion. hence the relatively old models involved.
Correct me if I am wrong. Can you point out any models that qualify as a good deal?0 -

Thanks.
it's enough that you can nock down £250 from the market value of a range of HP machines, to make it a good deal.
And when people are posting those, they shoud be encouraged, perhaps you can learn that from me.0 -

First of all, the laptop in the post of the OP does not qualify for the discounts as suggested and secondly, the original price of £419.99 does not reflect the market value.
So, can you help the OP, by finding some machine that actually do qualify for both the Cashback and the TradeIn?
Otherwise this post appears to be just 'pie in the sky', no matter how well meaning.
I'm sure the OP is now realising that it isn't nice to have someone jump on to your thread and try to pull it apart.
But this 'deal' has some very big holes and not everyone is going to peruse the T&Cs before purchasing.
It's good that we have many eyes here.0 -
How can £419.99 not be the market value when that is exactly why it is being sold for in the example.
secondly it does qualify for the £75 cashback as STATED ON THE PAGE
Thirdly it does qualify for the trade up scheme IT IS LISTED ON THE PAGE
everything posted is true and doable I have just done so myself and I have had the money back from the previous scheme posted last year which only finished with the end of the financial year.
This site is a JOKE!!!0 -

Perhaps you could learn to READ it's the LAST one in the list under HP 600 series, UNBELIEVABLE!!! Good God I really just can't believe you've just picked a small selection of models from the site to try and make your point deliberately to make me look like a liar. Seriously poor show!!!HP 600 Series
HP 630 A6E79EA £100.000 -
As has been said this offer runs now and again and i have done it 3 times. As long as you stick to t&c's then no problem although don't expect to see your money for a good 3 months...
This one applies for both..
