Theres four of us: me, my husband and 2 young children. I went around the house today and lowered all the room thermostats in line with the usage of the room and turned the main thermostat down to (which is very inaccurate and needs replacing!).

Before we moved we can to the end of our fixed price deal with BG so renewed their best deal (which i got from switch) they said i could carry this over when i moved we moved in 14th Oct and they took supply of the Elec at the end of Nov (not 8th Dec which i early put, i double checked this again) and the Gas on the 8th Dec. I provided readings the day we moved in and the day they took supply they got this right with the elec, however the Gas reading was showing as a much lower estimate and i've been speaking to them over the last 2 months to get this amended for this bill BG with their usual unacceptable level of CC didn't do this until 3wks ago cancelled my dd and shut the account down! i have since been making manual payments and they are trying to rectify the issue but they say it has been done. The readings are right and match the usage but the bill still cannot be viewed today so if this is the case the only thing left to be incorrect is the tariffs which i can check once the bill can be viewed.

Bit long winded sorry, hope that made sence lol

So, is the consumption only high on the gas due to extra consumption on this side of the switch? Or are your high costs based on your correct switch reading to an actual reading now?
