6ft fence panel dilemma

A fence between our neighbours and us has been badly damaged shredded would be more like it, anyway i looked online at B&Q also Wickes but neither deliver well B& Q don't and Wickes are saying something like £25 for bulky delivery.

How do folk buy one 6ft fence panel and get it home? our car nor the neighbours is big enough and neither of us have a roof rack,we've asked other people but no-one has the answer.

This morning i looked up fence panels -free delivery they are being sold,but....... the prices are huge compared to the £19.98 for 6ft fence panel we are happy to pay.I'd happily pay a reasonable delivery cost.

any ideas?

We buy fencing from our local timber merchant but you have to spend £50 to get free delivery:o Have you rang round your local timber merchants? Some might give you free delivery for spending less than that.

Just to update,Kudos delivered my fence panel the very next day, how's that for fantastic service.
Our neighbour has now erected the panel and our gardens are safe and secure again.

  • I started answering this before looking at the original post date so apologies if I'm a bit late, but I recently bought some fence panels from buyfencingdirect.co.uk - you can order online and they deliver for free.

You have to buy at least 4 fence panels to make it worth your while as this counts as a bulk order which comes with good discounts.
I paid £15.89 per panel so considerably cheaper :T
