Experian Encourge FREE Password Protection.

Experian encourages using the Notice of Correction (NOC) facility on your credit file to deter someone from using your personal details to obtain a credit card, open a bank account etc. This is, if you are seriously at risk from fraud.

(Comment: It is worth reading the rest of this thread)

I would like to ask the Experian Expert the following:

  1. When are you seriously at risk from fraud? Before or after becoming a victim?
  2. Surely anyone viewing this NoC with the password would be aware of that Password weakening the strength of the Password?
  3. When you or a. n. other authenticated that Password, then the a.n. other whoever that maybe (banker, lender, shop assistant), would be aslo be aware of the Password? Further weakening the Password's strength. weakend?
  4. Can you use the NoC facility Free (other than the cost of letters, envelopes and postage)?
  5. Why are you not encouraging 'Thumbprinting'? This is something YOU do, (and would force any would crook to do) rather than something you or others know (a Password).
Both 'Thumbprinting' and using a Password to protect yourself are available to ALL. Both are free to enroll into (which maybe confirmed by the Experian Expert)

Both act as pro-active deterrents.

BUT

Only one totally protects you. Judge for yourself.

Free ID Protection (Click here).

Why are you posting your question, which you have already asked in another thread, in a new thread on a different board?
