These are the descriptors they use, the first link is for the limited capability for work test, used to see if you are 'too ill' to be on JSA and working at this time and the second is for the Limited capability for work related activity which is used to decide whether you go into the wrag or support group.

You would not automatically get help to return to work if you were put into the support group - but you can volunteer to have Work Focused Interviews. If you are put into the WRAG, you will have to undertake WFIs.0

Thanks for the info HB58, I guess I'll just have to wait until I get the forms through now. Hopefully I'll be put in the support group as it's impossible for me to attend anything right now. If not i guess ill have a long appeal battle on my hands.
I'll start getting all my records together now just in case, never know when I'll need it all. Perhaps I can send some of the stuff I sent to DLA. Thanks.I SUPPORT CAT RESCUE! Visit Cat Chat to support cat rescue too.

Some people have had very bad experiences with the 'medical' assessments carried out by ATOS. However, this is not the case for everyone, it is just that people are always more inclined to post when they have had a bad experience! My assessment went well, what was put on the form matched what I said (it was recorded) and I was treated with respect and kindness.
You said in a previous post that you are given a copy of the CD of the recording, what exactly did they record on?[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.

Erm... I'm afraid that I have no technical knowledge. All I can tell you is that it was a large machine that did dual copies. It was set up and calibrated by a thrid person before I went into the room. The microphones were very small, one on each side of the desk. The only problem was that my input got lost a bit because I spent most of the time lying down behind the nurse who assessed me.0
