digital wireless senders-any good??? any recommendations???

I really want to have sky signal in my bedroom, currently get no signal on my tv, just use it for dvds, but i'd love to be able to go to bed and watch my sky programmes that are on later in an evening.

I looked at the magic eye but the whole drilling holes to run the cable upstairs doesnt appeal (even though my bedroom tv is situated directly above my living room tv/sky box). My dad has looked into the wireless digital senders and ive had a google today and as yet im not convinced. Ive read that 5.8ghz is the better option for less interference and that you can get ones that you can control with the remote for sky etc.

Has anyone got one/can recommend one??????

What sky do you have. The old normal sky, sky+, Sky HD+.

Just that some of the older senders, only work with normal sky (remote control).
Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j

We have a Nikkai Directional Dome 5.8Ghz video sender which works really well. Try eBay as they are a lot cheaper there than Amazon.

I've had one from Argos for quite a few years now. It does what it says on the packet.

The only problem is that it happens to run on the same frequency as my laptop / router wireless, so if the auto sender transmitter is switched on, the laptop won't connect to the router.

I could probably adjust frequency on one or the other - but it hasn't bothered me enough to try!

The 5.8 GHz ones avoid clashing with WiFi and cordless phones. I set one like this up for a relative, works well enough but only good for adjacent rooms,
