Pay in more than you take out and pay all of your bills on time.
    There is no magic formula.

The guy in branch seems to think paying all my DDs from my account will enhance my internal score.

Have a OD and don't use it appears to be a good one. Pay your salary in, keep a good balance in your Lloyds TSB account(s). Internal score appears to be unrelated to external CRA data.

Run your accounts impeccably and after a few years you might get a good score though it's not all it's cracked up to be. I've got top 1A score and cannot get a credit card cause of what was on the CRA, but not anymore. They do monthly updates and I applied before they did the update properly or within 1 month of being declined initially, automatic decline :-(

I have got nothing available to me at the moment my first account was only opened in Feb and the advisor blagged me into opening a second account on Monday to have my bills paid from, he seems to think it will prove my chances of getting any lending. I have got a CCJ which will drop off in early July so im not sure if that will change lloyds outlook on me haha. I have checked my credit reports and there does not appear to be any credit searches been done for this second current account.

Did the adviser tell you your score. Not sure the number of accounts will make much difference possible adviser is on commission for so many accounts, cards, mortgages etc a month.

No harm in having 2 or even 3 vantage accounts so long as you run them well in my opinion. I have 3 and never go overdrawn, well maybe for a few minutes when I do the monthly move arounds between the accounts before I get paid. :-)

Make sure its definately a classic account they open as the second one. They did it to me but gave me the cash account and now a year after closing it i still have a no credit thing on my account. The computer says i can have a cheque book etc but then that overides it. Wish i had never opened the second account.

Dont use other banks ATM's get a cash back instead, the bank is charged between 15 and 30p for an ATM transaction but they make money when you take money in the form of a cash back in Visa fees. :-)

It defo is a classic account as it shows the account type on my online banking. The account was not credit scored either which is abit confusing.

Sorry to ask but why does anyone want to get there feet in with banks and credit ratings. Understand if you want a good account or a new house or car ect, But am imissing someting here Banks like to see what you got coming in to fall at your feet with offers, Hence never trust a bank because they always get things wrong (even lloyds who i bank with,)

as for opening 1,2,5, or even 10 accounts?? i dont understand that 1 either as its all about the income coming into the banks since banks open accounts on risk of income coming in?
