I just wanted to warn everyone about dealing with this company. ACM publish several craft magazines such as:
Knit/Yarnwise (previously Yarn Forward)
Inside Crochet
Modern Quilting
Handmade Living
Sew Hip.
They have a VERY long history of ripping off customers, by failing to deliver goods/magazines that have been paid for, and designers, by failing to pay for designs and not sending back samples.
The company was started last year after its previous incarnation went into liquidation and already has some CCJ's against it.
The whole story can be found here:

Worry is like a rocking chair - it keeps you busy but it gets you nowhere.

Ravelry is a free site although, yes, you do need to sign up to read through the forum.
There is a good blog post here:
http://pompoms.wordpress.com/2012/04/28/if-youre-not-knitting-start-reading/
which gives an overview of some of the issues but I would really recommend that people go to Ravelry to get the full picutre.0 -
I subscribed to a magazine in March and now they have gone bust. Have I said goodbye to my £20. Or is there anything I can do? I paid on debit card.0

Hi Poppycatjasper,
Unfortunately, the subscribers will come lower down on the refund ladder - first, it will be the big creditors (in this case the factoring company who have a charge), then the employees, then everyone else. There are lots of designers, contributors, subscribers, office supply companies, etc. There is not a great deal of money to go round, so refunds are unlikely - sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
eta: Unless you got your subscription through 'Newsstand' - I've just read that they may refund where publishers go under.:A FLY FIRST, KNIT LATER :A0 -
Hi everyone! Just wanted to update this thread - Yarnwise, Inside Crochet and Handmade Living are now owned by Tailor Made Publishing. They are a well established company, with lots of titles and the magazines are going from strength to strength!
The Ravelry forum Monkey22 wrote about is still going, all the latest news is there :-):A FLY FIRST, KNIT LATER :A0
