New BT Broadband Customer £50 Sainsburys Voucher

I recently changed my broadband to BT and was promised a £50 Sainsburys voucher from their website for signing up. I have waited for 6 weeks and there is no sign of the voucher. It was meant to be here after 28 days. A quick internet search showed a few other people with the same problem. Some even have posted it on a BT help forum and they seem to be getting nowhere due to poor BT customer service (they don't seem to want to know or can't do anythig about it). Is anyone here waiting on a voucher from them also?

I never got my amazon voucher either.

    I'm having same problem.

No voucher after the 30 day period. Emailed them, and was told that it had been dispatched and if I don't receive it within a week to contact them again.

A week later and it still hasn't arrived and they are no longer replying to emails.

Wouldn't expect BT to stoop to such a shameful scam, this is reminiscent of the "free" mobile phone cashback deals.

The current promotion is a £25 card, it was £50 previously.

The site is now saying you have to wait 60 days ...!
    https://www.vouchers.bt.com/offer/sainsbury/
"Please allow up to 60 days from your service being activated and claim being received for your voucher to arrive. Please do not chase your voucher before the 60 days has elapsed."
  • BT and £50 Sainsburys voucher - we have been waiting 158 days

In July we had BT broadband installed and part of the deal was that we would receive a £50 Sainsburys voucher. We applied and were told that we would receive it within 60 days. We have been waiting 158 days. We have been in contact with the bt forum since October and 3 times the moderators have helped and we have been promised the voucher within 15 days. Firstly, in October, then November and finally in December they apologised and said they would add another £10 and we would receive it within 15 days but it still hasn't come. In September there was an article in the Guardian regarding these missing vouchers and the bt forum is full of disgruntled people. We have contacted the Guardian, Watchdog and now you. Some people have started "legal proceedings" - presumably the small claims court. How many other people have simply forgotten about their promised vouchers, or have given up. Where are all the missing vouchers going? Does anyone have any ideas as to how we can get bt to honour them?

Letter before action, if still no response than take them to small claims court for the voucher amount, plus a bit extra for "wasting your time" by phoning up and selling letters.

I got mine in the end, after a lot of time contacting them. At first they kept claiming my order was not eligible as not made through BT website.

After half a dozen fruitless emails I forwarded the confirmation email from BT.com to them and they promised to send it.

3 weeks later still not received, so another email asking progress - the next day it arrived special delivery.

Have since upgraded to infinity unlimited - this time the £50 gift cards came no problem after one application.

Good luck all waiting, not sure if they are having genuine problems tracking or just trying to get out of paying, tbh neither would be a surprise.

    edit: happy new year all!
