Itunes mp4 files to MP3

Hi All, Is there an easy way I can change itunes MP4 files to MP3 please?

Does this help? I assume you mean AAC; MP4 is a video container format.

Any other way to copy the Ipod MP4 files to a USB stick and then convert them to play on a car stereo which only plays MP3's? Thanks

Safe and virus-free? Certainly. Unfortunately quite a few come bundled with unwanted 'helper' applications which are often difficult to remove.

Maybe buying an ipod to use is the best option then. Just on a new laptop and don't want it cluttered with programmes that I can't get rid of! Thanks for your help.

That was in reply to someone else regarding a completely different subject. I'd presumed from your previous posts that you already possessed an iPod and would therefore not be requiring a third-party utility.

Sorry I am confussing everyone now... My wife has an ipod with itunes music and I was looking to download some tunes to play in the car on a USB device.
