So what happened then in my apparent mid-life crisis?
Not a lot. I stayed in my job, of course, but what I also did was get a personal trainer to come twice a week (at 7am!). For what these guys do, it's very overpriced, but as I stayed in my job, I can afford it. Also, I’d never in a thousand years get up and go to a gym at 7am, but if I know the trainer will be knocking at my door, no choice but to get up. I’ve only just started, so let’s see how it goes. One point to think about, though, is that if I’d quit my job, I’d not be able to afford a trainer.0 -
When my wife and I had to live in different cities for a spell, I'd just get up early in the morning and go out for a run. In the evening too sometimes. I also left her with the car and I walked everywhere.
And when working long days at the desk I found the lunchtime walk or cycle essential. I was mid-30s.Free the dunston one next time too.0
