If you like Thai food, this place is quite good - just a couple of minutes walk from the Travelodge

Joe Allens in Exeter St (behind the covered market).
If you go late you'll see lots of theatre 'stars' post show.

Never had a bad meal there in 27 years and reasonably priced too for the quality...no microwaved/pre bagged stuff unlike the chain restaurants.
    Great atomosphere too.

If you go on Top Table website you can get some really good deals. Went to Navajo Joes once with a deal and got 50% off the bill. If you like TGIs you will like it there.

A lovely Thai restuarant that does great cheap set meals is
Thai Pot, 1 Bedfordbury, Covent Garden, London, WC2N 4BP.

I like to eat when i want to . so as another said . just enjoy the day and have a nosey to see what you fancy . We have thought of going somewhere and ended up either full or not appertising so just carried on wandering. Big fan of Balans in Soho (by Ronnie Scotts) about 10 mins nice walk from Covent Garden

I would walk for about 5 mins away from CV to Thai Pot, its just far enough to be pretty much Tourist free and theatre crowd free. Its just behind the National Opera House.
