Venere anyone heard of this website?

Hi,

Found a good deal on this website !!!!!!!!!!! for hotel in Guildford,
I am a bit worried since never heard the name, and the deal is not on the big websites or the hotel website itself.
Anyone can recommend?

Hi,
We used 'Venere' back in 2005 to book Hotel rooms for family and friends for my sisters wedding in Italy (Sorrento).

Between us we stayed at 3 different Hotels, everyone got a really good deal on price.

I would definitely recommend them.:)

venere dot com? Yes, it's been around for ages, I've used it loads of times without a hitch (and found the odd bargain). It started life in Italy and Italy and central Europe are still where it's strongest, but they are spreading their wings.

They used to be part of the same group as Expedia and Hotels.com, but I think they have now been spun off - I'm not sure on this. Double check for the hotel on Expedia and you may get a similar price but with Quidco cashback.

Edit:, anyone know why I am allowed to type Hotels.com but venere dot com gets struck out with exclamation marks?

Also, they are one of the Hotel booking sites that 'Trip Advisor' use.

I've used them too. They have been operating for years. You shouldn't have any problems.

I used to think they were really good because they have lots of local hotels and generally didn't charge the money up front BUT I've now discovered that if anything goes wrong, they're hopeless.

E-mails to customer service are routinely ignored and they take the view that they are purely an intermediary so they're not responsible for any problems caused by the hotel.

I will not be using them again.
