Loan insurance

I've recently had PPI taken off my loan and I'm now looking to have a stand alone insurance put in place on it.
Has anybody done this before and are able to recommend a good, trustworthy company?

What risks do you want covered?
PPI is just an ASU policy and you'll find hundreds of intermediaries that sell it but there is only a relatively small numbers of actual underwriters.
The limitation of ASU is that it is a maximum of 12 or 24 months coverage. If you need longer coverage you can get PHI insurance which provides income up to a predefined age but has no unemployment cover.0 -
It would be employment cover basically.
My work covers me in the event of illness and serious injury.0 -
Technically unemployment cover.
There are some that do unemployment only cover but having a quick look at British Insurance as an example, they charge the same for U only as they do for ASU so may as well have the full cover.0
