For the TT AND the Phono Amp?
What did you have before you got rid of your previous kit?
No, I meant for just the turntable but have just bought one on eBay for just over £30. Planning on getting one of those pre-amps, and maaaaaybe a home cinema kit. If not some bookshelf speakers.
The set up I had before was a big monster AIWA midi hifi with turntable, the turntable packed in. My other half had a pretty good kit of separates so was using that when I moved in here but she sold some off after the amp packed in.
I have a little CD system in the kitchen for when I'm cooking and generally use Spotify connected to tv with HDMI when at home - the only reason I'd be looking at home cinema kit. I'm not a big movie fan and don't have or want Blu-Ray. Hence all I really need is the turntable so I can get the vinyl out again.
One further question I have is...
The little pre-amp allows me to connect speakers to it. But having looked around, the connections on speaker cable doesn't look compatible, do I have to get speakers or kit that has the red/white plug in things?
Speakers I've used in the past are ones that have a red wire and black wire that is exposed and kind of pushes into a little hole and then clamped in place.
Sorry... I don't know the correct words.£2 Savers Club 2014 #74 - £4840 -

Yeah after some research I discovered this so opted for the turntable, integrated amp and set of bookshelf speakers. Long term it'll allow me to add separates again.
And now I have something to spend all my time and money on.£2 Savers Club 2014 #74 - £4840
