    Again, this is where it can get discriminatory again, pension credits pah!!

    I worked hard and saved for my retirement. Not entitled to pension credits..............
    make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

    Why not complain about children's discounts while you're at it - there are loads of those and all age related.

    But surely you don't actively want to have a lower income and have to rely on benefits to top it up, with all the intrusion and limitation of freedom that that involves?

    I thank my stars (and my pension plan) that I'm not dependent on benefits in my old age. Though I may yet have to apply for housing benefit, but not yet, oh lord, not yet!

    Youre absolutely right, which is why i joined my company pension scheme, and why I luckily had a reasonably small mortgage which is now no more, thank goodness.

    We get 1.6 state pension, 2 small pps and live quite comfortably. And quite happy to not rely on any other benefit that the pension.
