Plasma tv screen flickering?

Hi, I wonder if anyone could offer a little advice please?
I have samsung hd plasma screen and the screen/picture is flickering intermittently. Is this likely to be a small scale or large scale problem? In other words is it worth getting someone out to look at it or is it likely to cost me more than the cost of the tv to sort? (I actually just bought it off my brother for £100 so it was a bargain and he is happy to give me my money back,if i'm not happy but its a nice size tv so wonder if getting it fixed is an option)
